January Wrap-Up (2019)

This month flew by. People say that happens as you get older. I feel like Christmas just happened. It probably doesn't help that I haven't put all my decorations away yet.

I did get an awful cold at the end of the month. That really knocked me out. And it definitely cut into my ability to do pretty much anything-including read. 

I was able to finish 9 books-so I'm on track with my Goodreads Challenge. And I'm pretty happy with the quality of those reads-nothing less than 3 stars.

I may have also bought a lot of books this month. That was not the plan. There were a few new releases-including some pre-orders. And then, Elle Kennedy had the abs editions of her Off-Campus books for sale. So, I basically had to buy them. I also picked up some signed Sarina Bowen books that she restocked. These are part of weightloss rewards for me.

January Wrap-Up (2018)

I have read so much this month-16 books. It doesn't even feel real. I have been watching less TV/YouTube which probably helped.

And I passed my first certification exam for my new job. That was a real stressor and I'm glad I'm one step closer to being done with that.

The books I read were pretty varied and there were a couple audio books. Generally, they were quality reads, too. A couple were disappointing because one of them was my first read of the year.  But the month mostly picked up after that.

January Wrap-Up (2017)

January was a very busy and stressful month for me. Mostly that was caused by work. I took on some extra responsibilites for most of the month that left me incredibly worn out and exhausted. But I was still able to read 8 books (or 7 books and 1 novella) and I'm incredibly grateful for that.

I've been re-reading a paranormal series I read while I was in college. So, I don't remember a lot but it also doesn't require a ton of my concentration or energy to read and enjoy. I do plan on doing a series review on my YouTube channel in the next few months.

Speaking of which, I'm actually getting more on top of my YouTube content. I've caught back on my posting which has taken a lot of the pressure off. I've also been focusing on posting ahead of time and taking my time with developing my content instead of bulldozing my way through.

All but one of the books I read got a 4 star rating so it was a fantastic reading month from that perspective as well.

January Wrap-up (2016)

I ended up finishing 11 books this month. I'm actualy very suprised ot see such a high number.

My life has been very busy this month. I went out of town for several days and work has been busy. I've been putting in a lot of overtime which cuts into my reading time.

But I'm very happy. I read some great books this month. I did fairly well in the TBRTakedown and I got through the two biggest books on my Winter TBR. Plus, I got to read The Score by Elle Kennedy which was fantastic.
